DESCRIPTION:Friday 3 October 2026 | Gympie Pavilion \nJoin us for Manngoor Dja’s annual Well Persons Health Check Day — a free community event celebrating health\, wellbeing\, culture and connection for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people\, families and the wider community across the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions. \nThis year’s event will be held at the Gympie Pavilion and will bring together community members\, health services\, support organisations and local partners for a fun and culturally safe day focused on improving health outcomes and encouraging everyone to take charge of their wellbeing. \nThe day will include: \n\nFree health checks and health education activities\nInformation stalls from local health and community organisations\nCultural activities and workshops\nLive entertainment and performances\nFamily-friendly activities\nFree food\nCommunity connection and celebration\n\nWell Persons Health Check Day aims to make accessing health information and services easier\, while supporting early detection\, prevention and management of health conditions. Community members will have the opportunity to learn more about their health\, connect with local services\, and be supported to complete their regular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Check (715) with their healthcare provider. \nThis event is proudly delivered by Manngoor Dja with support from our community\, health partners and local organisations. \nEveryone is welcome. Come along\, connect with community\, celebrate culture and take a step towards better health and wellbeing.
