Join us for Manngoor Dja’s annual Well Persons Health Check Day, a free community event celebrating health, wellbeing, culture and connection for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and the wider community across the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions.
This year’s event will be held at the Gympie Pavilion and will bring together community members, health services, support organisations and local partners for a fun and culturally safe day focused on improving health outcomes and encouraging everyone to take charge of their wellbeing.
The day will include:
In addition to all of these deadly artists, we also have an exclusive songwriting workshop with our headlining artists, J Milla, with only 15 spots available, this is an opportunity that any young aspiring artist would not want to miss. To get involved, register for WPHCD Day HERE and select the songwriting workshop as an add on.
Well Persons Health Check Day aims to make accessing health information and services easier, while supporting early detection, prevention and management of health conditions. Community members will have the opportunity to learn more about their health, connect with local services, and be supported to complete their Health Checks.
This event is proudly delivered by Manngoor Dja with support from our community, health partners and local organisations.
Everyone is welcome. Strong culture makes stronger communities!
Health checks available for Manngoor Dja Health Access Card (HAC) holders only. Jackets and training shorts are limited and will be provided on the day to clients who complete a minimum number of health checks. Child and adult sizes available.
This is a free event open to the whole Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community. Come along, spend time together, and celebrate our whole community in a space that’s fun, safe and welcoming.
